Have a hot body at any age!

Meet Annie Moll. A True MVP!

Being 40 is amazing, especially when no one believes you. Having a sense of humor and staying in shape is the key.

My mom got me and my brothers and sisters involved in sports at a very young age whether is was gymnastics, basketball, football, baseball, softball, hockey, golf, skiing, volleyball, badminton, tennis, track and field or by simply kicking us out of the house to play outside, we were always active.

There were none of these video games that kids have today, we used our minds and bodies to stay healthy. I will be forever grateful to my mom for carting us all over town and for not allowing us to be lazy, she is an amazing woman who at 60 something easily looks 50 something.

The other part of my life that keeps me healthy and young looking is having a sense of humor. Actually, it’s just pure laziness because it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. Who says having laugh lines makes you look older, I call those people,"cranky pants." My father taught us not to take ourselves too seriously and filled our home with laughter. For that I will be forever thankful. I find myself laughing at myself all the time, it seems to be the one thing that keeps me sane, that and chocolate.

My favorite of all these sports is softball, I started when I was 12 and still play today. Actually I play more now than when I was a kid.

Playing softball is a big part of my life, it has challenged me both mentally and physically. It has helped me to develop wonderful people skills on and off the field, (though there are a few umpires that may not agree). It has taught me how to be patient and how to be a team player. I have made some very important contacts in my life on the softball field, helping me in both my career and my personal life.

When I turned 40 I thought I would challenge my body and play baseball. Thank God I have a sense of humor. I worked hard and found I was able to develop the skills to play at a higher level but, I don’t think I am ready for the USA Women’s Baseball Team. Maybe when I turn 50.

I don’t believe that we as women have to kill ourselves to stay in shape. Yes, we need to watch what we eat and stay active, however we don’t have to go to extreme measures to do that. The "Hot Girl Diet Book" shows us in such a simple way what we need to do to say healthy, happy and harmonious with our body and mind. We need to love ourselves for who we are not who other people think we should be. As women we all have different body types and how we need to stay in shape varies. It shouldn’t be hard work it should be fun, the trick is finding that fun.

If you are killing yourself working out, and not having any fun try golfing or rollerblading or maybe even a pole dancing class, the key is finding something physically fun to do. How do you expect to stay in shape if you are doing a physical activity you hate doing? Combining the right activity, the right attitude and the right food, anyone can stay in shape and look sexy. Most importantly, remember it is very important to laugh at yourself once in a while, just don’t do it in public too much you may get a lot of strange looks, I do:)
